I’m lucky enough to work in a school where all KS4 students have their own iPad and there is currently a big drive across the school to encourage teachers to use them more confidently in the classroom. As a Head of Department I was recently sent on a one-day CPD course about using the iPad for MFL […]
One of the biggest annoyances that comes with the introduction of a new specification is having to build up a bank of decent teaching resources. Whilst there are some big differences between the current specification and the new one, there is (thankfully) also some overlap. Bearing this in mind I have been through all of […]
A couple of years ago I posted some answer sheets for the SPAN1 exam which I had produced to save spending my entire print budget on printing realms of past papers for mock practice. I get my students to look at the question paper online and write their answer on the answer sheet which I […]

I had a good discussion with my students about it and whether they think that they are manipulated by adverts.
This is a cartoon which formed part of an anti-smoking campaign. Get students to watch it and make a list of all of the problems which are associated with smoking.
Doing lots of past paper practise with my AS students I have realised just how much practise some of them need at transcribing what they hear in the target language listening comprehension activities. Each year I say that I am going to do more of it but somehow I never get around to it. Now I have a […]
